At Shishya School, Guru Sukanya creates her own custom curriculum for the benefit of her students. The syllabus is well thought out. It is a medley of one traditional 'margam' item, some theory, projects and a fun thematic song created specifically for the annual day theme or dance drama.

Besides this, occassionally there are items added to support outside programs, such as Bharathiyar festivals, Thyagaraja festivals etc.
